Michael’s progression through the rest of the process was focused and efficient but not assertive or presumptuous. I accepted his generous offer and was then able to really determine if this was the car I wanted. Being a cautious buyer I proceeded with examining the Carfax report, asking many questions, taking a 10 minute test drive with Michael in the car followed by an offer from him to take the car home overnight. He listened well, and within a few minutes was showing me a very attractive car that seemed to be perfect. Because I wasn’t sure what brand of car I wanted, Michael asked a few questions to help me articulate the basic idea of what I wanted and what I didn’t want. The team member who worked with me was Michael Comyns. Having just purchased my first car from Jeff’s Motorcars, I want to briefly share my buying experience. If anyone asks where we got our car, and I’m sure they will, we’ll forward your name and number. And, thanks to you and Brent for staying until after 8:00 to finalize all the paperwork, as your dealership closes at 7:00. You engaged us in conversation that was helpful as I had told you how poorly we were treated at 2 other dealerships the past couple weeks.īeing that you started at Jeff’s a few months ago you didn’t fake it when we asked you questions you didn’t know the answer to, asking your manager for answers that worked well for us. You were courteous and helpful giving my wife and I information about the car without pressure to buy. We texted and emailed most of the day and drove after work to test drive. Throughout the day we talked business and numbers without you seeing our trade in or us test driving the car. I called on Monday morning, and you answered a half hour before the dealership opened. We saw the Land Rover Discovery Sport on-line and drove to take a look at our dealership on Sunday. In the past few weeks we have been to several dealerships that had cars we liked, but the salesperson or management turned us away. It’s not easy finding a dealership that has the used car selection as Jeff’s has. Thanks to you and Jeff’s Motorcars for helping us find the car we’ve been looking for. I could not thank them enough for all the help, and will continue my loyalty for many years to come. I have no intention of buying a car anywhere else as the entire operation from service to sales has been such a class act experience. My relationship with Jeffs started many years ago when I bought a Land Rover LR4 form Cody (who still works with them) and has continued to this day, now on my third vehicle. With Howards expertise and Hans’ easy going sales assistance I stopped in on a Monday morning (still driving the Audi) and in an hour made the switch with only signing my name…… it couldn’t have been any easier. I spent a few hours driving different cars, and after taking home an Audi for 3 or so days to drive I settled on making the trade for it. I appreciated their straight forwardness, and proceeded to meet with Hans and Howard about the option of trading it in on another vehicle. Their service department is second to none, and laid out for me all my options in plain English with realistic expectations. I did not have the patience to deal with it. Most recently I had a tough choice to make as I learned my Range Rover of which I purchased from Jeffs about 2 years ago needed an extensive repair. I have now worked with the team at Jeffs Motorcars to purchase 3 different vehicles, and every time it has been a great experience.

"That's a little better," she said as she turned around. "Maybe I'll just, here, wait a sec." She stopped and turned her back to me, then with some difficulty, pulled her bra off, first one arm going into her shirt and the bra strap coming off of it, then the other arm. Her eyes met up with mine and her face blushed and she quickly looked away. I saw Amy's eyes looking discreetly at me for a brief moment, eyeing my chest and stomach. Not far into this leg of our hike, I was sweating hard and I decided to take my shirt off, hanging it out of the back of my shorts. The sun was beating down on us as we walked and the trees around us prevented any wind from cooling us off. "There's a nice little creek about a mile away, we can hike over there." She showed me a number of very fine, though rough, sketches of the building. "Let me see," I said, standing up and walking over to her. She turned towards me, stretching her back, and saw that I was staring. I was looking at her from behind now and I could see perfectly how those long legs ended in a firm, round rear end. She had a thin body, remarkably long legs, smooth and bare, a pair of short shorts topping the lovely vision. I didn't know her age, but I would estimate she was about fourteen. A bit later she stood up and stretched from my vantage point a hundred feet away from her I could give her body a bit of discreet admiration, and I noticed really for the first time how very sexy the girl was. Amy sat down in the sun and started sketching, and I found some shade and worked on my journal. It was a blazingly hot day and we were both sweating hard when we finally got to the old mine, a crumbling wooden structure a hundred years old and some deep ravines cut into the mountainside. I waited a few minutes, then walked over to her cabin and knocked on the door. From the front porch of our cabin, I saw Amy's family load in their car and take off, sans Amy. I begged off, saying that I wanted to go for a hike. The next day after lunch my wife took the kids to the waterpark. "So," I said, "if you're not going with your family to laser tag tomorrow, we could go up to that old mine." Calumet too much longer, OK?"īilly ran off after the card game ended, leaving Amy and I alone again. "Yeah, Billy told me." She made her lack of enthusiasm obvious. So, Amy, we were thinking of going to the laser tag place tomorrow." We were well into the next game of War when a man walked into the room. John Calumet." Billy shook my hand and sat down with a thump. "Billy, this is." she gestured to me, "um." "Yeah it is," she said with similar tenor. "Laser tag is fun," I said, my tenor lacking conviction on the point. "They have laser tag at the place too, Dad said we can go back there tomorrow!" "Hi, Billy," she said with a somewhat exasperated tone. "Amy!" he shouted, "it was soooo awesome at the go cart place!" Right then a boy came running into the room. I was struck immediately by how beautiful she looked when she smiled. She had a sweet little smile, the first time I'd seen her smile. "It's kinda hard to find, maybe I can take you up there sometime? You should draw it, it'd look really cool with a dragon in it!" There's a really cool one up the hill a ways, that's what I mean about cool stuff to do here. She took out a sketch book there were several well-executed pencil drawings of fantasy animals-dragons, unicorns, and some rather scary looking ghost-like creatures. "Really? You got any drawings here you can show me?" "I don't know," she said, finishing the deal. She looked at me and gave a funny giggle-snort. They always do what my brother wants to do." "Yeah, I know, my family's at the go cart place, but I didn't want to go. Because there's all kinds of cool stuff to do here." "So what's your name?" I asked her after she'd beat me once and was dealing the second round. "OK, but it's been a long time since I played War, you'll have to remind me how." "Let's play War," she said, and she started to deal. I got up off the couch and walked over to the table she was sitting at. She looked at me again with that little blush in her cheeks. "You want to play a card game?" I asked her. She picked up a deck of cards and started shuffling them. How could she be bored, here, in the middle of the most beautiful mountains on Earth? "I understand," I said, wanting to sound sympathetic, even though I didn't really understand. She turned to look at me, and for a moment her cheeks reddened just slightly. I put down my journal and looked up at her. It was the sort of face that would blush crimson pink whenever she was nervous or embarrassed.įrom across the room I heard her sigh, audibly. Long dark brown hair cascaded around the face, curling under her chin. They spread from her cheeks across the bridge of her nose, a few scattered on her forehead as well, framing her dark blue eyes. The remaster also received mixed reviews, though the Nintendo Switch version received considerably more praise than the other ports. Reviewers greatly praised its use of the gamepad and dark atmosphere, while opinions were mixed on its story, pacing and controls. Upon its original release, the game received mixed reviews. Japanese singer Tsuki Amano returned from earlier entries to perform the theme song. The cast went through several revisions during development, while the staff experimented with the capacities of the new hardware. Kikuchi and fellow co-creator Makoto Shibata returned to their respective posts of producer and director, together with staff from Mask of the Lunar Eclipse and developers new to the series. Series co-creator Keisuke Kikuchi proposed the project when he saw that the Wii U GamePad could be used as the Camera Obscura. Planning for the game began in 2011, during production of the Wii remake of Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly. The story, which is set on the fictional Hikami Mountain, focuses on three protagonists who are drawn into supernatural events revolving the area, including an ancient ritual to seal away the Black Water, a malevolent force corrupting the surrounding spirits that is tied to the fate of the titular shrine maiden Ose Kurosawa. A post-endgame story featuring Ayane, a character from the company's Dead or Alive series, is also available featuring altered gameplay mechanics. As with previous games in the series, players navigate areas filled with hostile ghosts which must be fought by taking photographs using the Camera Obscura, which is directly controlled using the Wii U GamePad. As is, you’re probably better off spending a few extra dollars on a smart charger so that you’ll get more rechargers per battery, which will save you more money and energy in the long run. Should you buy the Energizer Recharge Value AA/AAA NiMH Battery Charger? I wish that it was a smart charger with the capability of not over charging each individual battery because I really like this charger for the main two reasons I mentioned above: easy battery removal and large status LED. That doesn’t mean the batteries will explode or catch fire, but it can negatively impact the overall life of the batteries. If you forget and leave them in the charger until the auto timer turns off after 11hrs, those batteries will be over-charged by over 50%. When you use it to recharge the included 1300mAh batteries, you have to remember to remove them after 5-6 hours (because 1300mAh/300mA = ~5.5 hours). No matter what the actual capacity and status of your batteries, it will charge for that length of time and will then turn off. The Energizer Recharge Value Charger charges at a fixed current (300mA for AA, 150mA for AAA) for a fixed time of 11 hours. This usually results in over-charging which is bad for battery lifespan. A Dumb charger relies on a timer to stop charging or has no termination mechanism at all. What’s the difference and why should you care? A Smart charger monitors the voltage of each cell individually during charging and stops when a charge-termination signal (negative delta-Voltage) is detected. It’s actually a timer-based dumb charger. It’s important to note that this is not a smart charger. As luck would have it, I didn’t have any other brands of batteries to test. But the charger should work just fine as long as the batteries do not exceed 2650mAh for AA’s and 1000mAh for AAA’s. The other feature that I like is the large status indicator, which glows red while charging, green when finished and flashes red when a bad battery has been detected.ĭuring the time that I’ve been testing this charger, I’ve used it to charge the included batteries as well as another set of Energizer AA’s that I already had on hand. Note: Images can be clicked to view a larger size. When the folks at Energizer asked if I would like to review one of their chargers, I gladly accepted and they sent me a sample of their new Recharge Value AA/AAA NiMH Battery Charger. I’ve been using an ancient Realistic (Radio Shack) branded charger for years and although it charges batteries just fine, it’s bulky and not efficient because it continues to charge the batteries even after they are fully charged. How many devices, toys and gadgets do you own that use AA or AAA batteries? Do you feed these devices standard alkaline batteries, or do you use rechargeables? I personally prefer to go the rechargeable route mainly because it’s easier and less expensive for me to pop a set of drained batteries into a charger and wait for them to rejuice, then it is for me to drive to the store and buy a brand new set. So although I’m usually very good about citing my sources, I’ll have to let this one go. I wish I knew the original source, but, alas, it’s been lost to time. I jotted down the basics of the recipe and have been working to master it ever since. So, years ago, I looked up a recipe for tortillas made without lard. Some Mexican restaurants are even switching to corn tortillas, like Frontera Cocina down here at Disney Springs in Orlando.ĭon’t get me wrong I adore corn tortillas, but there will always be a place in my heart for the fluffiest, thickest flour tortillas. That’s hardly a tortilla at all in my book. Thick, restaurant style tortillas are so very different from the thin, tasteless packaged tortillas you get in the grocery store. I’d hardly care what I ordered, so long as I could receive a steady supply of stacks upon stacks of tortillas. I used to live for trips to Mexican restaurants that made thick, fresh tortillas from scratch. Requires no special equipment! Enjoy restaurant style tortillas in your own home!
